BUILDING A COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENTAL STATE: CAMEROON.

It is an innovative concept of a community developmental state, specifically adapted to the cultural and sociological realities of Africa. Inspired by Asian models, it aims to transform community challenges into opportunities, emphasizing the importance of individual transformation and ethical and social change. The notions of “political entrepreneurship” and “political franchise” are introduced to energize a new, more engaged and invested African political class.

This approach favours development rooted in local communities, guided by enlightened leadership and an integrated strategy, with an autonomous state, little influenced by private interests. It favours collaboration between a competent civil service and businesses, asserting that it is development that will generate a stable democracy, and not the other way around. In short, this model advocates for genuine industrial development and a redistribution of wealth as the foundations of a sustainable democracy.
